Graduating Leotards
A new leotard and leveling structure is being implemented at GAFA. The purpose and intent of this new system is to help measure progress, track advancement and achievement, as well as easily establish levels for our multi level classes through a spectrum of different colored leotards. Our structure uses a colored gradient to indicate different levels of progress, with each color representing a specific stage of completion and achievement. We start with the lightest colors, ballet pink and lavender, in our primary division, then progress through graduating blues in our junior division to richer and more concentrated colors in our senior division until we arrive at black which represents goal completion and our most elite dancers in Pre-Professional. By providing an easy-to-understand visual, this system helps our dancers quickly assess their level, incentivises hard work and desire to progress to the next color/division, and stay motivated by clearly seeing how close they are to achieving their goal! As excellence is one of our three pillars at GAFA, we believe that it is best pursued with a clear goal set, an incentive for progress, the ability to improve, and reward. Our new divisions and leotard format provides the aforementioned items in a clear and visually pleasing way that we are excited to implement this upcoming season.
